Family Portraits - The Uttkes

It’s coming up on almost three years since I last photographed the Uttkes.  Wow, how time flys! I remember Corbin was begging to toddle around and Carson was just a glimmer on the horizon.  But now, they’ve got one more on the way and Carson is the one getting his land legs. Shoot three to come in a few years I’m sure.

I grew up as a little brother so I can appreciate this kind of brotherly love.

Nice, Carson appears to be enjoying his view from the summit on the Peak of Dad.  I think he’s just happy he’s not getting tickled.

Emma and Paul’s JIHM Booth, Hay, it was a blast!

Really? I thought I was the only one.

Truly the goofiest people I’ve ever met.

Shiver me timbers, these are the closest thing to Pirates in a barn I’ve seen.

Go JIHM Booth!

Babies on the way!

Hahahahahahaha, The JIHM Booth folks.

Liars!

Really awkward prom portrait.

Behind the scenes. (She's really the sweetest person you've ever met I swear).

Behind the scenes… (Emma is one of the sweetest people I’ve met and photographed… I swear).

These guys get the award for willing to go the furthest for their photo. This is what it’s all about, a good laugh and all in the name of fun.

Emma and Paul, Thanks for all the laughs.

I just booked a wedding in 2025. I’m not looking forward to it.

Emma and Paul’s Wedding, It was hot, they got hitched and had a ton of fun on a farm!

I checked the forecast obsessively the week before Emma and Pauls wedding and you know what it said? RAIN RAIN RAIN THUNDER AND LIGHTNING! It appeared the end of the world was near! And you know what?  I felt four drops while Emma was on her way down the aisle / field.  Stupid weather people.

So, their amazingly beautiful wedding wasn’t postponed and it was gorgeous. It was like 90 degrees in the shade though. I’ve never sweated through clothing as bad as that day, but it was so worth it. Emma and Paul’s wedding was a blast and I want to thank them for inviting me to come and shoot their wedding. It was so much fun we’re going to do it all again next year! Just kidding. But you can relive the day below.

I want to give a big huge thank you to Adrian Sauers for helping me out.  Adrian is a man of many talents and I can’t say enough great things about him. He’s first and foremost an outstanding artist and you should check out his work here. He also captured some amazing images too, like the grumpy little boy who didn’t want his photo taken.

Emma and Paul’s Wedding Teaser… More to come… dun dun duhhhhhhh (you know like the “to be continued” movie sound, no? Aww heck, just forget about it and enjoy this photo).

I LOVE THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I miss them already.

Fishtown and animals in windows.

This photo is one example of many of the animals you meet at head height walking down the sidewalks of Fishtown.  Some of the animals greet you with a stare or a raised eye brow that says “I’m bored, then there are the ones who want you out of their sight and act like raving maniacs as soon as they see you in their winow territory.  But this photo could be a whole theme on it’s own.  This is my freshest photo from the Fishtown Series. Just scratch and sniff.  It’s Fresh out the camera just for y’all.

Post snow series - Two pups looking for a permanent home

Walking down Thompson St. Andrew and I ran in to Yona. She’s currently fostering these two little rascals.  They really don’t have names since they haven’t been placed in a permanent home. They’re some mix of a terrier slash shepherd slash boxer, and they seem like they weigh about 40 LBS and I’m pretty sure you should take them both. They’re up for adoption and if you’re interested please let me know by getting in touch. Send me an email to SETH SHIMKONIS AT GMAIL DOT COM (written like that to avoid receiving spam).
