Emma and Paul’s Wedding, It was hot, they got hitched and had a ton of fun on a farm!

I checked the forecast obsessively the week before Emma and Pauls wedding and you know what it said? RAIN RAIN RAIN THUNDER AND LIGHTNING! It appeared the end of the world was near! And you know what?  I felt four drops while Emma was on her way down the aisle / field.  Stupid weather people.

So, their amazingly beautiful wedding wasn’t postponed and it was gorgeous. It was like 90 degrees in the shade though. I’ve never sweated through clothing as bad as that day, but it was so worth it. Emma and Paul’s wedding was a blast and I want to thank them for inviting me to come and shoot their wedding. It was so much fun we’re going to do it all again next year! Just kidding. But you can relive the day below.

I want to give a big huge thank you to Adrian Sauers for helping me out.  Adrian is a man of many talents and I can’t say enough great things about him. He’s first and foremost an outstanding artist and you should check out his work here. He also captured some amazing images too, like the grumpy little boy who didn’t want his photo taken.

This next one was absolutely hilarious to watch as it unfolded. That’s Dave at the bottom in the last photo. Priceless. (By the way, the sign says “Raise your hand if you were scared of Dave.”)

It’s hard to feel like you’re working when you get to be in the photos. In addition to that, when have amazing bosses it makes work amazing!  Thank you Dave and Kristen!  Wedding photos to follow soon! (By the way, the sign says “We should be working. (IT)”.

And here are a few more for the road. Happy travels!

Just a few lovely ladies up for grabs. I’m sure one of them is single…

Sign of the times.  Never gets old until it’s old.

Four easy steps on how to get a wife

Step one: If you’re a man of the hunting gathering type, this should be self explanatory. If not, follow the photograph steps below.

Step two: Show her a bit of love. While you can’t see the love inside the box pictured below, you know you can feel it.

Step three: Wait for the right time pop the question and make her yours.

Step four: Get married and celebrate that love! (hint: I like photographing weddings)

Ok, so maybe it’s not that easy. Trust me. I know. But this sequence of photos showing off a different “ring shot” is a small example of the way I like to shoot weddings. Fun and creative. And remember I can’t do it without you. So get married.

Three reasons why I love weddings and my job.

One: I love the freedom to create great memorable images for the people who hire me. On Pete and Rose’s wedding I was the second photographer for my good friend  Jeff at Jeff Wojtaszek Weddings (just click the name to see more from Jeff). So the fact I was able to tag along as second shooter on Pete and Rose’s wedding was a great opportunity to shoot memorable images like this one. These guys were awesome to work with and really loved this shot as much as I did. I love the excitement of building the bridal party shots.

Two: Family flare and character. Weddings are a business for photographers, but the side I love is is really getting to see all the wonderful things that make people family. Sometimes a family’s character shows bit more than others, like with Kate’s Brother and Dad (pictured in the blue vest and the red jacket in the background) putting their own twist on the YMCA. They broke out the family’s traditional “Mung Masks” during the YMCA. This version of the YMCA had the most character and participation I’ve ever seen.

Three: Point and Shoot Cameras. People are very passionate about their point and shoot cameras. These little gems come with so many bells and whistles its hard to know what to do with them sometimes. But something that has always gone hand and hand with cameras are smiles and typically you only need one camera to encourage a smile. But if you want that spectacular smile that really shows off the person on the inside, only two or more will do (demonstrated by Kate’s Maid of Honor Erin).
