LOVELY WINNER

CRAZY WINNER

This next one was absolutely hilarious to watch as it unfolded. That’s Dave at the bottom in the last photo. Priceless. (By the way, the sign says “Raise your hand if you were scared of Dave.”)

It’s hard to feel like you’re working when you get to be in the photos. In addition to that, when have amazing bosses it makes work amazing!  Thank you Dave and Kristen!  Wedding photos to follow soon! (By the way, the sign says “We should be working. (IT)”.

And here are a few more for the road. Happy travels!

Just a few lovely ladies up for grabs. I’m sure one of them is single…

Sign of the times.  Never gets old until it’s old.

Inside jokes. I love em. One reason why these signs make so much sense for guests.

They should get a tatoo!

It snowed. These are the people I met.

I’ll be posting some shots from people I met while roaming around Fishtown after our 26″ dumping of snow.  I met people looking for permanent homes for dogs they’re fostering, people tearing around on quads, and a few others too.  Here’s a starter, a pretty dusk shot.

The power of the Light

Keeping up with photos from the neighborhood and just shooting because it’s fun. I made this photograph on my iphone months back and I’ve been trying to get a decent shot with a better camera. Mission accomplished.

Industrial grit - day four

Old signs are great subjects. Just make sure you get the permission from your electrician.

Industrial grit - hump day for this series

Symmetry is another element of composition which I love. I’d also add that I’m just a huge fan of great composition.  This one isn’t perfectly symmetric but really what is?

Industrial grit - day two

Did I also mention I really like making photographs that are hard to tell what the subject is? I think they’re my favorite way to shoot artistic photographs. Edward Weston is really well known for his photographs of vegetables, or most notably his pepper photograph which looks nothing like a pepper.

Four easy steps on how to get a wife

Step one: If you’re a man of the hunting gathering type, this should be self explanatory. If not, follow the photograph steps below.

Step two: Show her a bit of love. While you can’t see the love inside the box pictured below, you know you can feel it.

Step three: Wait for the right time pop the question and make her yours.

Step four: Get married and celebrate that love! (hint: I like photographing weddings)

Ok, so maybe it’s not that easy. Trust me. I know. But this sequence of photos showing off a different “ring shot” is a small example of the way I like to shoot weddings. Fun and creative. And remember I can’t do it without you. So get married.

Death of a Pet… somewhere

Some kid in Fishtown is really sad. Let’s have a moment of silence.

I love Fishtown

Home Sweet Home Baby!  This photo isn’t the front of  my house, but it is in my neighborhood and I love it.  It’s crazy here.  There is such a mix of people here.  And those people’s houses reflect who they are. Fishtown is mutli-generational where people’s entire families live here,  it’s hipster,  artsy,  dirty, old,  new, trendy,  scary and just perfect.  Walk around, come see for yourself.

Making your own place in life

It’s been a while since I last wondered around to shoot photos of Fishtown. In the past I’ve typically done this with Murphy my black lab. It was easy to shoot pictures of the neighborhood I live in when I had to walk my dog. It was simple, I just brought my camera with me and I had a dog to protect me or fend off any people who might want my camera for themselves.

So now that my commute to work is only a ten minute walk and I no longer have Murphy, I’ve decided to continue my Fishtown photos. I really enjoy wondering around shooting photos of anything (I mean, isn’t that how most people get started in photography?), but lately or the past few years I’ve been fixated on buildings and the shapes they contain, make up or just are. It’s my personal work. I no longer have Murphy to walk or fend of those camera wanting folks, but I’ve really missed not shooting these photos. So I am continuing with my Fishtown photos. Take a gander.
